I don’t get to try many Evil Genius beers, aside from the occasional beer-fest, and I’ve generally liked the samples I’ve tried.
Why you ask?
That’s a good question, and I have the answer, of course.
It’s not that they don’t have distribution near me, they do, and I see their brews all the time.
The problem is, when I see a new delivery in the store from Evil Genius, the beers were brewed 8-9 months ago.
I’m not sure what the deal is there with the distributors, but I’ve passed thus far.
*Edit: Since the original post 2 years ago, Evil Genius brews are fresh and plentiful around these parts! Go get some.
When I came across ‘Stacy’s Mom Citra IPA’, and it was brewed only a month ago, I had to grab this beer to try.
Yes, it was the name of this beer that caught my attention.
If you don’t know the song, I have no idea what you’ve been doing with your life, but it isn’t good.
If you haven’t tried this beer, you’re pretty much in the same boat. (You know, the not good thing with your life.)
‘Stacy’s Mom’ was pretty dang tasty.
Don’t be dirty, you know I’m talking about the beer, not “Stacy’s Mom”.
It was actually pretty refreshing, and I got hit with Citrus notes during every sip.
There’s pretty much no way you’d know it clocks in at 7.5%, if you didn’t look, this beer goes down too smooth and yummy…
