Once upon a time, in a land super close, there was this beer drinker.
The beer drinker in question is super awesome, but you can’t take it from me, I’m kind of biased.
Fine, you probably guessed it was me, and my awesomeness is definitely up for debate. The land is NJ, and the time is now.
I frequent a local liquor store (Taunton Forge Liquors in Medford, NJ), which is small, but they do a fantastic job of getting new craft beer in on a consistent basis. I make it a point to stop there at least once a week.
On my recent trip I came across Victory ‘Agave IPA’with Grapefruit. Victory makes some great brews, so of course I was getting this beer to try. The guy who rang up the sale wanted me to let him know how it was, as they only received one case, and he didn’t want to take any for himself. That’s ridiculously awesome, so I grabbed a beer out of the six-pack and slid it over to him. It’s the little things, ya know?
I’m just starting to get into the whole grapefruit angle brewers are taking with their beer. I don’t enjoy grapefruit, so the thought of that in my beer never really appealed to me, and I used to steer away from those brews.
This beer from Victory is super good. It wasn’t as hoppy as I was expecting, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s an easy drinking, refreshing, tasty beer. Almost too easy drinking considering the 7% abv. But hey, I’m not complaining about that!
I’m all aboard the #GrapefruitTrain.
Grab this beer if you can find it.
