I decided after a couple of these yummy beers from Double Nickel (you need the beer for a clear head, duh), to rank the Spider-Man actors from the movies in order of their awesomeness. The whole radioactive spider DNA thing did play a minor role in the thought process. Get it? DNA… #3- Tobey Maguire When I saw the first movie featuring this guy as the beloved wallcrawler, I thought he pulled it off great! Well, besides the whole organic webbing thing, that was pretty annoying. That wasn’t hisRead More
*People are constantly asking what my favorite beer brewed in NJ is, so I figured it was about time I answered this question. Wait. You know what? I don’t think I’m gonna do that. Better yet, I’ll list my Top 5 Jersey beers, in random order! (I’ve excluded any #JerseyBeer I can’t remember drinking…) I kinda sorta maybe quite possibly stole the featured pic from @CasaskullMark, but I’m sure he doesn’t mind… #1? Or… #5? No one knows. Kane Head High IPA 6.5% This beer is ridiculously awesome. Everything aboutRead More
Double Nickel Brewing Company. I have yet to try a beer from this Pennsauken, NJ Brewery that I haven’t enjoyed. They’ve only been around for a couple of years now, but they’re definitely making their mark in the brewing world, so I figured I’d try their Pilsner/Lager hybrid! In a few words: Smooth and tasty. This beer doesn’t taste like the 5.6% abv it boasts, so that’s pretty dangerous, as I could throw back quite a few of these without an issue. I’m willing to take the risk. The StraightRead More
If you haven’t heard, Double Nickel Brewing Company is having an Anniversary Event on 10/22/16! Make sure you get there to celebrate this festive occasion! Plus, @ml2370 & @gdtrfb22 will be there, and that should pretty much seal the deal for your attendance. But wait, there’s more… Al will also be there, and if you don’t know who Al is, you’re probably drinking at the wrong place!
What to do on a random Saturday? Hit a few local breweries with @LarryBurnett24, @infamousericb & SeaBiscuit, of course!
Double Nickel Brewery (Pennsauken, NJ) opened their doors in October 2015. Since it’s now almost February 2016, I figured I should stop slacking and get over there and try some of their brews. So I did. They feature 8 beers on tap, and I chose to go with a flight of the top 4 listed on the Beer Menu. The Pilsner 5.6%: Not too shabby. Especially for a Pilsner. I go into this style with very low expectations, but this one was a pleasant surprise. The Straight Hops: 3 out ofRead More
