What: Look Up!
Where: Kings Grant Wine and Liquors
Why: It’s a Dogfish Beer
Price: $10.99+tax on a single bottle
I sat on this bottle for a few weeks, so I finally decided to crack it open and give it a try.
Well, I didn’t actually “sit” on it, that would just be weird.
But, you probably knew what I meant.
Stouts definitely aren’t my “Go-To” Beer, but I like to change it up every now and then, especially when it’s from a great brewery like Dogfish Head.
‘World Wide Stout’ clocks in at 18%, which I imagine is part of the whole “$10.99 for a single 12 oz. bottle thing”, so I was definitely going to be one and done after having this high abv brew.
I’m weird, I like waking up in the morning hangover free.
I took it out of the fridge and let it sit for a little while before pouring, pretending I knew how to properly drink a stout.
After an hour of sipping I finally finished this brew and came to the conclusion that I liked it, but I probably wouldn’t pay the asking price again for this one.
The upfront flavor was pretty good.
It was on the back-end, after swallowing each sip, that the alcohol really hit my taste buds pretty hard.
Maybe aging a few of these would be the way to go, but I don’t have patience for all that.
You know my motto (the one I just came up with at this very moment): “Get beer, drink beer.”
