I’m still trying to find my favorite session beer, my “Go-To”, if you will.
That journey is sure to be full of the good, and the not so good.
The problem is, I’m looking for great.
That’s not too much to ask, I don’t think.
So when I saw Ballast Point’s ‘Even Keel’, clocking in at a low 3.8% abv, I had to grab it.
In general though, I feel like Ballast Point is a tad over-hyped to begin with, which I’m sure many of you will disagree with me over that statement.
I poured, I drank, I didn’t have another.
I probably should have grabbed a single of ‘Even Keel’.
Anyone want the 5 I have left?
Just kidding, I’m sure I’ll drink them at some point, maybe.
There wasn’t much flavor going on with this beer.
You’re right, I shouldn’t expect much from a session, but I do.
That’s the whole point.
If I wanted a weaker beer without taste, well, you’d know what I’d be drinking.
No one wants that.
The Straight Hops: 2 out of 5 Keg Rating
If you’re buying, I’ll partake, but I’m not picking up anymore for myself.
