Stone ‘Arrogant Bastard Ale’

Very, very good beer. Arrogant Bastard is true to its name, If you partake in a few too many of these, then I believe you will become one. I grabbed a mix 12 of Stone last weekend and was delighted these were mixed in. It had been awhile since I had one, and I’m quite happy I was able to enjoy a few more this weekend. Has great flavor. Bit of a bite, but just to my liking. Overall: I give it a 3 outta 5 Keg Rating Definitely grabRead More

Forgotten Boardwalk ‘1916 Shore Shiver IPA’

I never came across any of their beers before I went to an event at the Forgotten Boardwalk Brewery. The event itself had a great turnout, the place was packed. I tried a few of their brews and decided to get a 1916 sixer to go. It’s a good beer. Nice flavor, isn’t overly done. Goes down easy. Overall, it’s a good beer to give a shot. But if you can, you should definitely check out their brewery. They have a sweet set up there and the staff was extremelyRead More

Kiuchi Brewery ‘Hitachino Nest White Ale’

I know, I know. You’re thinking the same thing I am, right? I’m super cool for picking up a bottle of Japanese beer to try. In this case it’s Hitachino Nest White Ale. I would have never thought of trying a Japanese White Ale, or that one even existed, but there it was on the shelf. I probably should have left it there. Drinking this is like eating what someone made you for dinner, who doesn’t know how to cook. Yeah, you eat what they made, to be nice. It’sRead More

Sam Adams ‘Rebel Rider IPA’

Well, there’s not a whole lot going on here with Rebel Rider IPA. Yeah, it’s a session beer, so there’s that. It’s definitely drinkable. It just doesn’t have any “pop” with the flavor. You could, in theory, probably drink these all day. Maybe the Rebel Rouser Double IPA would have been a better choice? I might find out, I might not, only time will tell… But hey, I got a free 22 oz. pint glass for buying the six-pack, so I still win. The Straight Hops: 2 out of 5Read More

Weyerbacher ‘Old Heathen’

Being the stout fan I am, of course I had to give this a try. I’ve actually never tried a Weyerbacher brew before. But ya know me, I’m always up to try new beers! It’s pretty damn tasty. Nice flavors all around. It’s definitely not a beer for the faint of heart. So if you’re not into this type of beer, I wouldn’t waste your time. Me personally though? I think it’s a good one. Overall: 3 out of 5 Keg Rating

3 Beards ‘Cow Puncher’

Now, I have been looking for this beer since this past summer. A friend of mine went to a beer festival and tried a selection of 3 Beards, and raved about them. But no matter where I went, I wasn’t able to find any of their brews. So lucky me, I was losing some money at a poker game this weekend, and someone pulled out a sixer of Cow Puncher. I jumped on the chance to give this a taste, and man oh man, it was worth the wait. SuperRead More

Victory ‘DirtWolf Double IPA’

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve seen DirtWolf Double IPA from Victory Brewing in the store, and walked right past. Okay, I can tell you, it was a lot. At least 37 times. What a mistake that was, DirtWolf is super yum. Sneaky good, if we’re all being honest here. If I didn’t see it on the label, I would have never guessed this beer clocked in at 8.7%. It went down so smooth and tasty, I flagged myself at three for the night, because, like IRead More
